Ordering

I’m currently offering four acoustic guitar models, including an OM, 00, Dreadnought, and a custom model that I call the Grand Parlor. My custom model incorporates the comfort and curves of a parlor guitar, alongside a longer “Martin” scale length, overall size close to an OM, and the depth of a Dreadnought. If there is a different guitar model that you are interested in, please don’t hesitate to inquire!

When ordering a custom built guitar, you can be an integral part of the designing process. Through ongoing conversation and a collaborative approach, we’ll determine the various characteristics that you are hoping for in a custom built instrument. We’ll talk about the differences in top woods, backs and sides, neck shape, scale length, and much more – the goal is for you to have the opportunity to make informed choices resulting in a guitar that sounds, feels, and plays exactly the way you want it. While I invite you to have an active role in the design process, I also understand that having a lot of decisions to make can feel overwhelming – if your preference is letting me take the lead, I am happy to do so.

If you have interest in a custom build, want to know more, or would like to inquire about any available instruments, feel free to call, email, or even schedule a time to come by my shop!

Every guitar I build is made from carefully selected woods, ensuring excellent acoustic sound, structural stability, and natural beauty. While I certainly use and love the classic Spruce top/Rosewood or Mahogany back and sides, I also enjoy building with other beautiful sounding and looking woods from all over the world – many of which have been used to build amazing instruments for centuries.

Voicing the tops and backs of my guitars is one of my absolute favorite aspects of building, as it plays a crucial role in creating an instrument that truly resonates and comes to life it’s when played. I meticulously choose the wood, gradually arrive at the perfect thickness, and utilize bracing materials from various high-quality quartersawn spruce and cedar species. This selection process is based on the unique characteristics of each material and the intended outcome. Each guitar’s top and back are chosen, thicknessed, and tap-tuned to ensure they work harmoniously together, and I scallop and/or taper the bracing until I reach optimal resonance, balance, and overall musicality.
